Dr. Dionysios Dionysiou is a professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Prof. Dionysiou received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.), Greece in 1991, and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University in 1995, and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from University of Cincinnati in 2001. Prof. Dionysiou’s current research interests include advanced technologies for water treatment, AOTs, solar-based disinfection and purification of water, fate, transport, and treatment of cyanotoxins in water, and environmental nanotechnology. Prof. Dionysiou is editor of the Journal of Advanced Oxidation Technologies, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Journal of Environmental Engineering (ASCE). He previously served as managing editor of Water Environment Research (WEF). He is a member of the editorial boards of more than 10 journals including Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, International Journal of Photoenergy, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Advanced Science Letters.
